Exfoliate Safely Best Way to Use Loofah on Sensitive Skin
1.Choose the right type of loofah sponge.
• Prioritize natural loofah sponges made from young, tender fibers (softer than older, more mature ones). Avoid those that are too rough or have been used for a long time.
• For extremely sensitive skin, you can opt for a soft, smooth loofah sponge or start with a cotton washcloth.

2.Soften loofah before use.
• Soak the loofah in warm water for 5–10 minutes to allow the fibers to expand and soften.
• Some people recommend soaking it in hot water for a few minutes for mild sterilization.

3.Wet your skin and apply a gentle body wash.
• Wash with warm (not hot) water to open your pores.
• Apply an unscented, paraben-free body wash for sensitive skin to the loofah. Lather gently.

4.Exfoliate using the right technique.
• Use very light pressure and circular motions instead of rubbing up and down.
• Start with less sensitive areas such as arms and legs, then move to the chest and abdomen.
• Completely avoid thin skin areas: face, neck, armpits, groin, and any areas with lesions, acne, or recently shaved hair.
• Duration: Only 30–60 seconds for the whole body; do not rub for too long.

5.Cleanse and moisturize immediately.
• Rinse with cool water to tighten pores.
• Gently pat dry with a soft towel (do not rub).
• Immediately apply a rich moisturizer to restore skin. Choose one containing ceramide, hyaluronic acid, or aloe vera.
👉🏻 Recommended frequency: Only 1–2 times per week. If skin shows signs of redness or dryness, reduce to once a week or stop use altogether.
